Position summary: Public Sector Account Manager (12 month contract role)

We are currently hiring for all levels (Senior Manager, Manager, Senior Consultant) within the Healthcare and Public Sector team. This means you will be helping our clients find and create new value for their customers, their organisation and our society through technology enabled solutions. As part of the Healthcare and Public Sector team you will work with purpose driven team members to help create a more equitable and inclusive society. Who use technology as an equalizer to enhance education, improve healthcare and assist Government to help individuals and communities to be the best version of themselves.

In your first few weeks in this Public Sector Account Manager role, you can expect to:

  • Create strategies for the public sector account based on your understanding of the industry
  • Establish and maintain relationships with government agencies and key public sector stakeholders
  • Bring industry insights to our broader organisation to ensure we deliver value to our clients and develop innovative solutions that solve client problems
  • Assist with pursuits to ensure we bring the best of Cognizant to our clients
  • Develop and manage contractual arrangements, including panel application and ongoing management.
  • Respond to and deliver on customer requests, maintaining high customer satisfaction ratings that meet or exceed company standards

  • Strong public sector industry knowledge
  • Proven experience working in or supporting large scale teams
  • Previous experience in the public sector preferred, with some understanding of procurement processes
  • Experience in business development and good track record in establishing and maintaining relationships
  • Proven leadership qualities such as people management, leading others, and influencing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous experience with account management in Australia is strongly preferred
