THE OPPORTUNITY


With TAFE NSW you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively and be responsible for ensuring all customers are information literate, are provided with timely and quality information and are successful in learning by undertaking instruction in best-practice information access and assessment.

ABOUT THE ROLE


The Librarian, Grade 1, provides reference services ensuring the delivery of relevant high-quality information to meet the needs of customers from a range of sectors.


The role contributes to the development, responsive delivery and evaluation of library and information services which support and enrich the learning and study of customers.

It also contributes to the preparation, deployment and evaluation of high-quality library and information collections and library guides to meet the information needs of all customers.


This is a fantastic opportunity for self-driven and dedicated professionals who are passionate about Library Services, who have well-developed information technology skills and demonstrated commitment to the implementation of the use of online resources and communication technologies in an educational environment.


ABOUT YOU


We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who have a broad knowledge of library and information services, systems, procedures and current developments.


In addition, you will have the following:

  • Degree or post-graduate qualification in library and information studies and/or eligible for admission to associate membership of the Australian Library & Information Association.


Crucially, you can demonstrate you meet the focus capabilities as outlined in the Position Description which provides further information about the role.
