Overview

The Director - People & Culture plays a crucial role in leading various aspects of people, culture, and HR across the business. In this position, you will work closely with senior management and oversee the complete people experience, including people enablement, capability development, leadership, culture, engagement, reward, recognition, and retention.

You need to have a real passion for all things 'people'. Supporting your people managers, understanding the business, and offering practical solutions to their everyday issues should be things you love to do.

Focus on creating an exceptional culture for our staff, staff progression, organizational effectiveness, and employee engagement, partnering and coaching your stakeholders to integrate our culture and values into our employee experience and driving HR projects.

Core responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the organization's HR strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Provide strategic guidance to the executive team on HR matters.
  • Handle complex employee relations issues and guide HR staff.
  • Stay updated with employment laws and regulations for compliance.
  • Develop and update HR policies and procedures.
  • Lead the design and administration of competitive compensation and benefits programs.
  • Conduct regular market analysis to ensure competitiveness.
  • Establish key HR metrics and report on HR analytics.
  • Oversee training programs to enhance employee skills.
  • Lead and develop the HR team.
  • Formulate and implement HR plans in alignment with evolving business needs.
  • Champion equal employment opportunity programs.
  • Work closely with GMs & Directors to understand employee roles and responsibilities.
  • Analyze HR data for trends and solutions.
  • Facilitate organizational change initiatives.
  • Build leadership capability and coach people managers.
  • Ensure compliance with employment law.
  • Revise tech stack for optimal tools.

Requirements and skills

  • 8-10 years of P&C / HR experience with HR Director experience, preferably in a scale-up/mid-sized tech environment.
  • Deep understanding of labor regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Extensive employee relations experience.
  • Experience managing a team of 3 or more people.
  • Strong influencing & negotiating skills.
  • Experience designing impactful people initiatives.
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience supporting growth in an organization.
  • Confident communicator with agility.
  • Team player with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Resource and stakeholder management skills.
  • Liaising and consulting with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Data-driven insights capability.
