A new opportunity has become available for a talented employment relations specialist to join our busy team Your ability to bring your employment industrial relations knowledge to an ASX-listed Company and help manage our Employee and Industrial Relations (ER/IR) activities across the Australia and New Zealand region will be key to your success in this role.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining harmonious industrial relations by providing effective ER case assessment, advice and coaching to our leaders.
  • Provide timely and accurate advice to our business with respect to Performance Improvement, the Fair Work Act and EEO requirements.
  • Implement the requirements of the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Policy and undertake investigations in line with business requirements.
  • Drafting and review of policies, procedures, contracts and collective agreements to maintain best practice employment processes.
  • Facilitate the implementation of fair and effective termination processes where required ensuring adherence to policy and legislative requirements.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake travel across the ANZ region - based on business needs._

Essential Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualification in Law, Industrial Relations, Human Resources, Psychology will be highly regarded, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the employment relations system and associated legislation (Fair Work Act, Employment Relations Act etc.).
  • Ability to effectively interpret requirements of relevant industrial instruments including modern awards, collective agreements and employment contracts and provide timely support to business units.
  • Welldeveloped drafting and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence with genuine emotional intelligence.

Desirable criteria:

  • Experience within a unionised workplace consisting of a medium to large blue collar work force or similar position will be highly regarded.
  • A background in ER/IR with a willingness to develop into a broader HR business partner, or alternatively a HR business partner experience with a genuine passion for employee relations.
