The Opportunity

Ready to make an immediate impact? Reporting to the Product Development Manager, Private Label Product Specialist is responsible for successfully managing the lifecycle of product procurement from concept to commercialisation.

Specialising in identifying new opportunity, evaluating, and validating the development and planning of products, and directing the process of product change within a business category.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop initiatives and strategies that deliver lower priced alternative products at equivalent quality
  • Indepth understanding of Market trends to establish exclusivity and differentiation in Private Label Products
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to support key initiatives
  • Benchmark of industry standards and practices to identify quick win and savings opportunities
  • Support the implementation and development of the Private Label marketing strategy, identify areas for sales opportunity and growth

We are looking for:

  • Sound retail (preferred) product development and commercial retail knowledge
  • Knowledge of Low-Cost Country sourcing methodologies
  • Experience with managing supplier relationships, negotiations, and tenders locally and globally.
  • Evidence of successfully managing the product procurement lifecycle
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and planning skills
  • Strong experience in business planning, target setting and measurement
