We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, from ambulatory to inpatient and home and community-based services.
Applications are invited for the position of Specialist in General Medicine (Fractional) for a position of 0.8 EFT.
The successful applicant(s) will contribute to all aspects of General Medicine clinical service which includes acute inpatients at all three campuses of Alfred Health, Community care through Hospital in the Home and other community-based programs and Perioperative and Consultation Medicine.
The service growth for Alfred Health in 2023 and beyond is in developing the pathways to step up and step down acute care in the community in partnership with patients and primary care providers.
General Physicians with experience in community based acute care, quality improvement and supervision and mentoring are strongly encouraged to apply.
Applicants must be legally qualified medical practitioners, registered with the Medical Practitioners' Board of Victoria, and hold Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of Physicians.
Demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in General Medicine is required as well as meeting Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in General Medicine.
