Senior HR Consultant (Recruitment Team Leader) at Victoria Police

This is a great opportunity to join Victoria Police as a Senior HR Consultant/Team Leader and be at the forefront of recruiting efforts. The Recruiting Services Branch is seeking a proactive professional with a strong customer service background, candidate care focus, and effective written communication skills to join their dynamic team.

In this role, you will be leading the team responsible for the selection of new Police Officers, Protective Services Officers (PSO), and Police Custody Officers (PCO) for Victoria Police. You will oversee the application process across different streams and ensure a smooth flow of qualified candidates through selection gateways to meet deadlines.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, training, and managing staff.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to maintain and enhance partnerships.
  • Analyzing applicant and recruiting data.
  • Contributing to the improvement of recruitment processes and systems.
  • Reviewing candidate applications and assessing them.
  • Interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Providing guidance on selection procedures.
  • Maintaining databases and systems.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Strong communication skills (written, oral, interpersonal).
  • Proven experience in leading and motivating teams.
  • Analytical abilities and data interpretation skills.
  • Familiarity with Victoria Police Intelligence assessment tools.
  • Previous experience in managing end-to-end recruitment processes.
  • Capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Track record of applying recruitment legislation knowledge.
