About the role:


Working as a part of a shared Australian & New Zealand HR team, and reporting directly to the Head of HR, the HR Consultant will act as a key point of contact for all general HR related needs or issues including leave, probation and performance reviews, policy, WH&S, progression interviews, and career development queries.


Providing a range of HR services to all staff across the DWS Group at all levels, you will support them in being successful in their careers with the DWS Group, throughout the entire employee lifecycle.


The HR Consultant will quickly establish effective working relationships with all levels of employees; and in addition provide reporting services to all departments in DWS relating to HR metrics.


Applicants must hold Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency (PR), or other permanent work rights - DWS are unable to sponsor or support visas.


Type:
Permanent, full time _or_ part time (min 3 days per week)

Start:
ASAP - having a notice period is OK

Style:
Hybrid; dynamic mix of WFH and CBD office, as required

Salary:
up to $100K package (including super), depending on experience

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience in managing a range of employee relations matters in a generalist, consulting, or business partner role
  • Performance Management skills
  • Experience in working in all aspects of HR (WHS, Training & Development, ER)
  • Consulting skills
  • Facilitation / Training skills
  • Knowledge of the FWA
  • Coaching / mentoring skills
  • Understanding of general payroll concepts
  • Strong Excel skills

Key Duties and Tasks:

  • Developing new and supporting existing initiatives that assist in improving performance and engagement
  • Supporting consultants and management across Australia and New Zealand
  • Managing employee relations and performance matters
  • Deliver inductions, training sessions, coaching, briefings, present at company meetings
  • Managing workplace issues
  • Coordinate and complete annual and probation reviews
  • Employee payroll related administration on a weekly basis
  • Remuneration reviews and progression process coordination
  • Followup on background checks
  • Ensure all electronic documentation is complete, uptodate and accurate
  • Reporting and metrics
  • Staff survey preparation
