About the role


Are you looking to advance your accredited registrar training in transfusion related molecular genetics? Learning from our experienced medical supervisors and scientific teams, Lifeblood is offering a unique full or part time Fixed Term opportunity, in 2023.


You will join our Pathology team and your core focus will be participation in learning about and enhancing our transfusion related molecular genetics capability.

This newly funded and created role is at the leading edge of haematology registrar training. Through this initiative Lifeblood will support you to gain highly sought-after skills and knowledge in this field.

Your challenge is to rapidly immerse yourself in our laboratory and transfusion practice, and actively sharing your skills as well as learn from others.

Sound interesting? Here's what we're looking for;
Must be a self-starter

Current Medical registration and enrolment in RCPA haematology training (preferably post part 1 examination)

Willingness to work towards attaining RCPA Extension of Scope of Practice in Molecular Genetics (NPAAC Supervision Certification Modules) via the training and assessment pathway

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Commitment to collaboration and teamwork
