Job description:

Our Federal Government client is currently seeking to fill an EL1 Assitant Product Owner to join their Brisbane CBD team, on a temporary 12 month contract; paying $600 a day + super.


The Role:

The

EL1 Assistant Product Owner will exercise a considerable degree of independence to engage in very complex problem solving and issues management within the branch functions. The position requires exercising sound decision-making and judgement to produce high level policy advice and operational support.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Working within an agile design squad, utilising the varied skills within the cross-functional team to achieve the team's objectives and goal.
  • Leading the endtoend delivery of projects through the design and build phases.
  • Supporting Product Owner in presenting outputs and documentation for approval.
  • Ensuring design & build priorities are clear, delivered and Product Owners are aware of risks.
  • Defining requirements to support development of artefacts and user stories.
  • Providing context of key design & build considerations while supporting and enabling teams.
  • Facilitating stakeholder sessions and showcases with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensuring product is fitforpurpose for both participants and internal end users.
  • Product leadership (knowledge, discovery and delivery)
  • Analytical leadership (problem analysis and problem solving)
  • Process leadership (planning, communication, results)
  • Capacity to work independently
  • Able to work in an environment of change and ambiguity
  • Stakeholder engagement & negotiation
  • Knowledge of systems and processes, or capacity to quickly understand
  • Familiar with Agile ways of working
