Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced New Product Development Manager in the Food Manufacturing industry who will be primarily responsible for leading the end-to-end product development process, bringing to life new and innovative products.


Working for a 100% Australian Owned and Operated Company, you will work closely with the Marketing Manager, the Executive team, and Key Commercial Partners to drive change and ensure the highest standard of products are on offer.


This unique opportunity is best suited to someone with a proven track record for launching successful products in the FMCG industry and who is proactive and has a passion for innovation.


Your Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and manage the endtoend activities of the New Product lifecycle from idea to sale, in a timely manner.
  • Actively seeking insights to launch new products, analysis and following market trends and customer needs.
  • Regularly report on Innovation Pipeline.
  • Ensure all NPD complies with regulatory requirements, brand standards and launch process.
  • Lead evaluation of product range sensory performance, nutrition, and formulation as well as competitive set, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Demonstrate impeccable leadership and communication skills, to effectively lead cross functional teams.
  • Manage NPD profitability via commercial decisions and options.

To Succeed you will need:

  • Demonstrated results in new product development and launches over the past 5 years in FMCG industries
  • Food or Dairy is highly desirable.
  • Qualification in Food Science or Nutrition
  • Strategic mindset
  • Ability to engage and influence key stakeholders including major Retailers ways of working, to successfully bring products to market.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing and quality/control processes, procurement, project management processes and priorities.
  • Strong Commercial and Insights mindset to assess and create commercial business cases.
  • Work autonomously, prioritising across multiple projects embracing a high sense of urgency.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a good sense of humour
