About You

The Data and Analytics Partner acts as the key contact point to their college/portfolio

They ensure:

  • Business requirements are captured, understood and prioritised.
  • Enterprise data assets are leveraged effectively and efficiently.
  • Stakeholders are empowered to selfserve and expand their data and analytics literacy.


In addition, the Data and Analytics Partner will enable all analytics requests to be triaged, analysed, and efficiently distributed to the various analytics delivery teams in the central data and analytics group.

Partners not only manage requests but deliver data & analytics outputs of localised requests with support from allocated resources.

To be successful in this position, you'll have as a minimum:

  • Experience engaging directly with a broad range of technical and non-technical clients and stakeholders whilst working across various levels of an organization, building trust and fostering collaboration in a data and analytics context.
  • Experience in business analysis, demonstrating the ability to define requirements and business objectives.
  • Strong project management experience with multiple stakeholders prioritizing and delegating projects/tasks.
  • Experience delivering training and coaching to small groups.
  • Advanced level of experience and knowledge of data visualization principles and tools, SQL queries, and Excel (complex formulas, pivots, macros, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage people whilst delivering against goals and targets.
  • Excellent written, communication and presentation skills, good commercial awareness and a creative and problemsolving outlook.
About the Portfolio


The Data & Analytics group led by the Chief Data and Analytics Officer supports and enables RMIT's strategy by leading and driving the data and analytics agenda for the enterprise.


This involves being accountable and responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing RMIT's data & analytics strategy, and ensuring ongoing alignment with university projects and initiatives
  • Leading information governance framework and activities across RMIT
  • Defining requirements and standards for data and analytics technologies to be delivered by Information Technology
  • Coordinating and governing data management activities for analytics and reporting
  • Developing and coordinating advanced analytics capabilities to resolve key university challenges
  • Creating, maintaining, enhancing RMIT data and analytics resources such as reports and dashboards
  • Provide demand management and prioritisation of Data and analytics requests


A key component of RMIT's Data and analytics operating model is the Data and Analytics Partnerships team, which is responsible for stakeholder demand management, prioritisation and localised delivery of data, analytics and insights.
