Mathews Furniture is looking for a trade qualified upholsterer to join their team.

We are a small family business who manufacture sofas, chairs & bedheads for both the Commerical and Residential markets.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Cutting (as required), calculating fabric requirements
  • Foaming
  • Upholstery of lounges, chairs, recliners, bedheads
  • Quality control of your work
  • Willing to assist others within the project as required

  • Legally allowed to work full-time in Australia
  • Certificate IV in Upholstery or equivalent
  • Show enthusiasm and work consistently
  • Able to communicate clearly
  • Work well in a team and be able to take instructions from supervisors
  • Work consistently with repetitive tasks
  • Experience with hand tools
  • A practical, handson, mature attitude and a solid work ethic
  • Proven accuracy and efficiency in your work
  • The ability to multitask with the ability to work to set deadlines
  • Be reliable
  • Have the ability to work independently and show initiative
  • Have excellent time management skills
  • Focus on quality with strong attention to detail when reading paperwork

Salary:
$ $30.00 per hour

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • PROSPECT, SA 5082: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Upholstery: 4 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Certificate IV Upholstery or equivalent (required)

  • Australia (required)
