The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of an organisation dedicated to nation-building renewable energy projects that will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
In your new role, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the efficient and compliant maintenance of facilities, workplace services, and operational sites for Transgrid buildings and depots.
This includes establishing maintenance and capital expenditure strategies, plans, and programs for office and depot assets and providing facility management services across a portfolio of buildings, depots, and operational sites in line with the established strategy and plans.
About you
- Relevant qualifications at degree level and/or experience in facilities management, commercial negotiations and contractor management.
- Scoping and business case preparation of project activities (time, cost, scope, risk, quality, communications, procurement, team and integration).
- Extensive expertise in managing and/or supervising external contractors.
- Knowledge of the operations of an electricity network
- Ability to understand technical documents including drawings and specifications
- High level of commercial management and negotiation skills
- High level expertise in document preparation (concise reports, briefs and technical documents)
- High level analysis, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- High level written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of life cycle and asset management principles
