We are recruiting for a dynamic and people focused Gymnastics Operations Manager to join our team at the Sydney Gymnastic and Aquatic Centre.

This role is pivotal in managing the day-to-day operations, driving new business initiatives, and ensuring the highest standards of program delivery and customer satisfaction.


  • Oversee the daytoday planning and execution of operational strategies aimed at driving new business opportunities and improving the quality of current programs to achieve best practices.
  • Manage the technical and logístical aspects of both internal and external bookings at SGAC. Ensure the highest standards of equipment quality, safety protocols, and overall facility security.
  • Take charge of planning and coordinating the Gymnastics team for events, ensuring flawless execution and a great experience for our hirers and participants.
  • Recruit, train, and coordinate team members, fostering a cohesive and highperforming team environment. Contribute actively to staff development and operational excellence.
  • Work closely with the Centre Services Manager, playing a key role in the growth and advancement of Gymnastic operations, contributing to strategic initiatives and identifying opportunities for business development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in operational management within the gymnastics or sports industry, (preferred).
  • Strong technical acumen in managing bookings, equipment maintenance, and facility security.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management capabilities, including staff recruitment, coaching, training, performance management and the ability to positively influence the workplace culture.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively manage internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and enhancing the overall participant experience.
  • Knowledge of financial management and reporting.
  • Proven experience in project management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Flexible availability, including availability for occasional weekend work as required.
  • First Aid and CPR qualifications
  • NSW Working with Children Check
