Technical Implementation Lead

Due to growth and a busy period, our client who is in the banking industry is seeking a Technical Implementation Lead to join their team for a 6-month initial contract (with 6-month extension likely) with a hybrid work arrangement. Working with the technology practices, you will ensure successful delivery of major initiatives working with a Manager and Program Manager.

The role:

  • Develop and execute implementation plans for releases including documenting Runbooks, Rosters, Communication plans, Release notes and Change requests.
  • Management of Production Change Requests through the Change Management lifecycle in ITSM tool.
  • Organising workshops for Runbook reviews, Implementation plans and Rosters.
  • Management of Dress Rehearsals in the Pre-Production environment.
  • Ownership and execution of Production Change Requests for Releases.
  • Ownership and execution of Environment Assessment requests for all non-production IER environments.
  • Collaboration with technical team members across multiple applications and reporting to Program Manager/ Implementation Lead.
  • Serve as a liaison between technical team members, environment managers, business, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with other Technical Implementation Leads to achieve integrated deployments ensuring upstream/ downstream impacts and outages identified.
  • Communicating the release plans among teams including Service Owners.
  • Jira and Confluence updates for Implementation in scope items and tracking them as they progress with releases.

To apply for this excellent opportunity, you will need the following experience and skills:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in managing project delivery implementation
  • Extensive experience in relationship management activities (either internally to an organisation or as an external)
  • Experience interacting with Senior Management
  • Banking, finance, accounting, or information technology industry experience
  • Strong technical implementation planning skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including influencing skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organisational skills with an ability to manage competing demands.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Understanding of project management principles and methodologies used by the organisation.
  • Be able to attend the office in the Melbourne CBD when required.
