About the Role:

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Preparing classrooms/ hall including rearranging and moving furniture

  • Stocktaking and recording and engraving of school equipment/furniture and assets
  • Clearing, hosing of drains and gutters, collection of waste, emergency cleaning duties including rubbish removal
  • Maintaining school security
  • WH&S compliance including using WH&S guidelines and procedures, safe storage of chemicals, fertilisers, fuels; attending to safety hazards maintaining tools and equipment
  • Attending to and arranging maintenance within the school including students with disabilities
  • Liaise with external persons e.g. tradespersons
  • Maintaining sporting equipment and grounds
  • Maintaining school grounds including mowing, weeding, watering and soil maintenance
  • Maintenance of grounds equipment, e.g. mowers, brush cutters, tractors
  • Take pride in the school grounds and their work.
  • Have experience in grounds care and maintenance.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
