Job Description:

Where you fit in

You will join the APAC Advice team within the Trading & Supply (T&S) Compliance organization. The APAC Advice team acts as the primary source of regulatory & compliance advice for the T&S businesses in the region. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Being the initial point of contact for regulatory & compliance advice.
  • Guiding T&S businesses on Shell's Code of Conduct.
  • Escalating complex queries to Compliance SMEs.
  • Reviewing new products and activities.
  • Assisting with Compliance Training and Risk Assessments.

What's the role?

You will lead Compliance support for Shell Energy Australia and related businesses in the region. You will establish strong business partnerships, understand Compliance risks, guide the Business on regulatory requirements, and collaborate with the Compliance team for training and assurance plans.

  • Develop effective partnerships with the Business.
  • Understand Business activities, Compliance risks, and controls.
  • Advise on Compliance risk implications and potential mitigations.
  • Partner with Compliance team regions.
  • Mentor junior Compliance Advisory team members.
  • Represent Compliance in regional leadership meetings.

What we need from you

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Substantial experience in Trading Compliance or similar roles.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and Australian Energy Markets.
  • Experience in compliance for trading functions.
  • Leadership skills and effective communication.
  • Understanding of global compliance networks.

Additional Information: This role will be based in Brisbane.
