Tes is the world's largest online education community, we specialise in timetabling, education recruitment, digital advertising and a range of online services that help advance the education workforce in Australia.

This is 6-month contractual role to lead a critical process of transforming and reshaping our Australian marketing function, as the team take on new products, new markets, and new opportunities.

It is therefore paramount that you are an experienced marketeer who is process-driven, has a strategic outlook, exceptional stakeholder management, and can drive projects to the finish line within clear timelines.


Due to time-zone differences, this role will operate within slightly adjusted business hours due to the requirement of attending recurring meetings with our team in UK, Australia and the US.


Duties and Expectations:

  • Collaborate with the Chief Marketing Officer based in UK to drive the transition of the current marketing function to incorporate all Tes AU brands.
  • Own and drive the alignment of systems and processes of the Tes AU operations with the rest of world.
  • Support and guide the standardisation and evolution of communication and reporting.
  • Help in identifying operational blockers and make proposals and recommendations to overcome them.
  • Provide support and guide approaches for MQL in collaboration with the AU Marketing team.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow marketing professionals to support overall Marketing objectives across AU, US and UK time zones.
  • Assist in defining the overall strategy and plan on how we can build our brand across Australia.
  • Assist in establishing on how we can strike a balance with effort across different Tes products and regions.

What are we looking for:

  • 35+ years experience in a similar role
  • Proven experience in managing transformation projects (endtoend) with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing conflicting priorities of multiple stakeholders within large projects.
  • A strategic outlook, but you understand when it's required to deliver tactically.
  • Results driven and comfortable embracing a "test and learn" approach.
  • Collaborative and have learnt how to nurture impactful working relationships.
  • See the greater needs of the team and are willing to provide support.
  • Inquisitive and eager to learn how can we constantly improve and grow.
  • Confident in sharing views and opinions in an open and respectful manner.
  • Always capable of rolling up your sleeves to help others achieve the desired outcomes.
  • You look for efficiencies, instead of reinventing the wheel.
  • You can provide input into how we evolve our guidelines and rules, at the same time as respecting those in place. Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
