We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Markets Manager to join our Market Services team in Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth or Sydney on a Permanent Full Time Basis.

Reporting to the Manager - Products and Services you will play a key role in managing and influencing the relationship with market operators, regulators and customers to ensure APA market compliance obligations and commercial outcomes are met for transmission, power and midstream facilitated markets.

Key Responsibilities
Monitoring and influencing developments in facilitated markets to ensure APA's compliance obligations and commercial outcomes are met
Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to influence the design of new or evolution of existing market structures and position APA to develop business value
Responsible for development and maintenance of market compliance and assurance process controls and reporting requirements
Manage relationships with market operators and leading the response to regulator queries in timely manner Your Background
Tertiary qualification in business, economics, commerce, finance or a related field and/or in engineering

Extensive knowledge and experience managing a broad range of market activities for mid-large size organisations preferably in the energy or regulated infrastructure field.

Extensive experience in energy industry, strong commercial acumen and business analysis experience
Proven experience in developing and implementing process improvement and system optimisation strategies to deliver organisational compliance, efficiency and business value outcomes
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with a continuous improvement mindset
About the Team
APA's power and gas assets interact with and support the efficient functioning of electricity and gas markets throughout Australia.

As a part of the Operations Division, Market Services is accountable for the commercial and physical operations of APA's transmission asset portfolio including frontline customer relations, market interfaces, commercial product management, invoicing and commercial management for power assets.

The Products & Services team is a passionate multi-disciplinary team focused on the operational design and establishment of new products, gas and power market advocacy and project management of product implementation and market reforms.

Critical to these functions is the monitoring of market trends, identifying opportunities to evolve APA's product suite and co designing solutions to deliver business value.
