The Role

We are thrilled to be on the hunt for, not just any Operations Manager but an absolute Go Getter who is ready to make an impact and positively influence our team of Service Delivery Leads.

As the Operations Manager you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by providing a high level of safety, leadership and compliance which supports Ventia's Facilities Maintenance contract with AGFMA (The Across Government Facilities Management Arrangement).


The responsibilities of the position include but not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain detailed understanding of contract deliverables, client specific requirements and operational delivery model, ensuring areas for innovation and improvement are identified and raised for contract discussion
  • Manage performance of area of accountability including client feedback forums, subcontractor agreements and workforce delivery
  • Proactively manage the performance and development of the Service Delivery team and work in collaboration with other areas of Service Delivery
  • Liaise with contract support teams, specifically Asset management and Project office, in the management and delivery of contract requirements
  • Identify, manage and escalate operational delivery risks to people, scope and finances.
  • Undertake reasonable travel intrastate and interstate as required

Education and Qualifications:

  • Degree qualification in Project management, Engineering, or Business (preferred)
  • Current Drivers License

Skills & Experience:

  • Familiar with Lean Six Sigma Principles
  • Lead daytoday operations, ensuring productivity and efficiency across the portfolio.
  • Extensive experience in Facilities Management Operations management.
  • Excellent leadership, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills.
  • You can think strategically and make confident decisions after evaluating complex alternatives.
  • Understanding of FM building codes, regulations and compliance highly regarded
