About the role:


Jesuit Social Services seeks an enthusiastic media relations professional for a 0.8 role responsible for supporting media coverage of core issues and the production of internal and external-facing communications material across a diverse organisation.

This role will be based in Richmond (flexible working arrangements available) and is offered as a 12 month contract.

Desired Skills and Experience:

About you:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management skill
  • Demonstrated ability to produce media releases and other content for external audiences (including but not limited to websites and social media)
  • Strong understanding of mainstream, community and digital media landscapes (existing networks and contacts preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the production of materials from briefing stage to completion
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Capacity to fulfil reporting and administrative requirements associated with the position
  • Understanding and sympathy with the mission and ethos of Jesuit Social Services
  • Current driver's licence
  • Valid Working with Children Check card
  • Successful Police Check to be conducted by Jesuit Social Services prior to commencement

About the program:

Strategic Communications


The Strategic Communication team works closely with Policy department and Jesuit Social Services' grounded program areas across Victoria, Western Sydney and the Northern Territory to join participant voice, practice wisdom and policy advocacy to raise public awareness of the challenges faced by our participants and the changes needed at a government level to improve outcomes for the whole community.
