About the Role

  • We are currently looking for a dynamic and driven HR Advisor. This position offers autonomy and is ideal for someone eager to progress in their HR career. As our HR Advisor, you will oversee all HR functions.
  • You will directly report to the Area HR Manager, who is responsible for two hotels within the group, as well as the Hotel's General Manager.
  • We seek an individual with keen attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a consistent approach to their work. The ability to be hands-on, adaptable, and resilient in a fast-paced environment is crucial.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Offer guidance and assistance to management on employee relations matters, handling grievances.
  • Handle all HR administrative tasks, such as filing, maintaining employment records, appraisals, and reporting.
  • Lead the entire recruitment and selection process.
  • Promote and maintain a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Supervise a performance system that encourages high performance.
  • Identify training needs, organize and oversee training programs.
  • Manage OHS activities, including training, record-keeping, and audits.

Skills and Experience required

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in an HR role, preferably within the hospitality or service sector (highly preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources / Business Management.
  • Excellent administration skills with a sharp eye for detail.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships throughout the organization.
  • Thorough knowledge of industry awards, national employment standards, and enterprise agreements.
  • Experience with HRIS systems.
  • People-focused and driven by results.
  • Strong active listening and presentation abilities.
