Advanced Trainee

Applications are invited for the position of Advanced Trainee Obstetrics and Gynaecology Registrar within Bunbury Health Campus. The Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department is a regional hub for obstetrics and gynaecology, delivering around 1100 babies a year and providing a full scope of general gynaecology with 6 specialist O&Gs, core training registrars and RMOs. The department offers an exceptional experience for an advanced trainee interested in generalist O&G on the doorstep of the beautiful south west of WA with excellent schools, world class surfing and mountain biking.

This position will require the provision of high quality and patient centered care, including elective and on call commitments to clinics, labour ward and gynaecology theatre and to all Obstetrics and Gynaecology in-patients under the supervision of the supervising Consultant within a multi-disciplinary team. You will provide phone support to the region, and there is regional clinical care roles. In the role, you will work in accordance with the WA Country Health Service core values of Community, Compassion, Quality, Integrity, Equity and Curiosity.

The hospital provides training, supervision and education for Registrars, Resident Medical Officers and Interns and you will be the leader of this part of our workforce. In collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, you will work to achieve National, State and WACHS performance standards and the National Safety and Quality Healthcare Standards and will adhere to the policies and guidelines of the department and participate in quality improvement programs.
