The opportunityWe are seeking a talented Senior Structures & Payloads Design Engineer to support a world class airborne surveillance, communications and battle management system, the E-7A Wedgetail.

The role can be based in Brisbane, Williamtown, or Adelaide.

Responsibilities:
Work as a senior member with the team, guiding and mentoring junior engineers.

Provide technical leadership in delivering minor and major capability upgrades to the platform from the concept stage to aircraft in service.

Develop installation designs for equipment in a mid-service life aircraft fleet.

Produce engineering artefacts iaw Boeing processes & specs, and the platform EMS.Develop repair & modification instructions for integration into the existing aircraft in accordance with the approved Engineering Management System.

Performs basic and detailed structural analysis (static strength, durability/fatigue and damage tolerance) to determine structural integrity, using classical techniques and Boeing tools.

Work towards gaining Engineering Authority and Delegations on the platforms you will be supporting.
Support the organization in developing 'people first', 'team capability' as well as supporting process and tool developments.
Experience/QualificationsApplicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.

A Bachelor Engineering qualification in either Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical or a related tertiary Engineering degree qualification satisfying the requirements for membership with Engineers Australia (MIEAust).
