The Role

Reporting to the Manager IT & Program Delivery, the Principal Business Systems will provide technical expertise and effective management of the delivery of the Town's new IT systems.

The candidate will have responsibility to ensure that all projects follow the Town's Project Management Framework, integrate tightly with the Town's Core IT systems, are in line with the Town's approach of Software-as-a-Service first, can be handed over to the ICT team for technical support, meet the business requirements of the system owner, and align and integrate with the core ERP system. The Principal will play a critical role in assessing current systems, proposing enhancements, and driving integration efforts that support continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Work Related Requirements

The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:

  • Minimum 5 years' of experience managing complex business systems, including overseeing implementations, upgrades and maintenance
  • Relevant degree qualification (in Business, Information Technology or other relevant field)
  • Extensive experience in managing and leading a specialist project delivery team
  • National Police Clearance
  • Rights to work in Australia
