YWCA Canberra's Children's Services Quality Support Unit is looking for a dynamic person who is innovative in their practice and who is willing to implement and lead change as required.

This individual will have an excellent knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the National Quality Standards (NQS), and also sound knowledge of Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations.


Suitable applicants will work within a team of dedicated Quality Support Officers to ensure best practice is implemented in our suite of School age Care programs, and a Family Day Care scheme, by monitoring the provision of quality care in the sector.


About You:


You will provide ongoing support, assistance, and advice to Program Managers, and Family Day Care Educators, with the development of an innovative, child-based program and reflective practices, in alignment with the NQF and NQS.


You will be responsible for supporting services to implement holistic inclusive practices for all children who attend our services, supporting managers and educators to develop and submit Strategic Inclusion Plans (SIP) to governing bodies and liasise with Inclusion Professionals on a regular basis.


  • A Diploma in Children's Services (required)
  • A Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Teaching (desirable)
  • Experience as manager in the Education and Care sector
  • Sound experience working within the Children's Services sector
  • Demonstrated high level working knowledge of the National Quality Framework
  • A sound understanding of the Assessment and Rating Process governed by ACECQA
  • Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills
  • Sound knowledge of Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • It is desirable to have the knowledge on inclusion support
