My client is a leading shopping centre based in Casula, who are looking for a qualified Marketing Specialist to join their team and lead marketing initiatives for the centre.


The role will maximise the value of the centre through creating, implementing and managing strategic marketing initiatives which drive the centre traffic, sales performance and market share.


You'll be joining a great team with a briliant culture, no two days are the same You'll be required to be onsite, in Casula 5 days a week due to the nature of the role but there is working flex available when needed.


The role and responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver the annual marketing plan and budget ensuring synergy with the centre's strategic priorities.
  • Plan and implement marketing/communication strategies and programs to drive customer traffic, maximise sales and market share and to elevate the overall brand.
  • Ensure objectives are set for each relevant campaign, a formal feedback process is established and effective results measuring processes are in place.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the centre's key issues, competitor activity, trade area demographics and trading patterns including relevancy to state and national trends/benchmarks.
  • Develop a close understanding of turnover performance and occupancy costs of the centre, including majors, specialty categories and individual retailers. Be focussed on understanding trends and individual retailer performance. Speak to relevant retailers each month in order to determine the factors impacting on their trading performance. Compile information into monthly turnover commentary report.
  • Manage all aspects of the centre's brand including communications and presentation of the brand incentre, online and through all marketing touch points
  • Own the marketing budget and delivery of financial reports as per the marketing deliverables calendar, reforecasting quarterly to a nil balance and bringing relevant stakeholders across the expenditure.
  • The marketing manager is also a key member of centre management leadership team and will be actively involved in the day to day operation of the centre. This includes involvement in and responsibility for total asset performance and net operating income.
  • Identify key authorities to engage with and position the centre at the heart of the community.
  • Become involved in local community activities and encourage relevant community groups to use the centre as a place to conduct events or participate in centre organised programs.
  • Oversees retailer engagement, communication, measurement and strategy at a centre level.
  • Develop positive and productive working relationships with all centre retailers focusing on understanding retailer needs and supporting their performance.

To be successful:

  • 3+ years' experience in a marketing or communication role
  • Shopping centre, property or retail industry experience
  • Be able to travel to Casula 5 days a week
