About the project

We are seeking a skilled Senior Accountant (Controller) to join our Client's remote team. This person will be working with accounts from start to finish, including annual accounts for subsidiaries and group accounts for the company. Reporting to the CFO, the role involves organizing work, establishing and improving internal processes, standards, and policies, while upholding the culture, vision, and values of the company.

We provide effective and dependable solutions to the IT infrastructure, software development, quality assurance, maintenance & support, and cybersecurity challenges, as well as a broad scope of additional services.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in economics, accounting or equivalent practical experience
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant experience from a similar role
  • Solid operational experience can compensate for a lack of formal education
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Very good understanding of accounting
  • Good understanding of systems, including good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Very good oral and written Polish and English skills, ideally French as well.
  • Highly developed communications skills and impeccable written communication skills, a team player with entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, under tight deadlines
  • Proactive, self-disciplined and highly motivated with well-organized work style
  • Ease of working in an international environment

Responsibilities

  • Participate in monthly, quarterly and year-end closings
  • Preparation of annual accounts and group accounts
  • VAT settlement
  • Remittance and reconciliations
  • Coordination and communication with customers and third parties such as banks, accountants, and others
  • Participate in invoicing and processing of incoming invoices
  • Assist in reporting
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and streamlining of routines and processes
  • Train and guide existing team members
  • Projects and ad hoc tasks
