The role

The Technical Writer role enables operational delivery of A&G's risk management

strategy throughout Product and Claims & Assessing and ensures the compliance and protection of the company through the implementation and maintenance of a robust documented risk framework. This role will work across Product and Claims and Assessing to formulate and execute key risk governance initiatives for A&G.

This role is Fixed term (12 months) - Full time

Position Accountabilities

  • Maintaining up to date governance documentation of Product and C&A
  • Develop and maintain a document hierarchy map aligned to the Group's
  • Policy framework
  • Identifying gaps in Policies, Standards and Procedures and address
  • through maintaining a up to date knowledge library
  • Draft and gain approval of key documents to support the risk maturity
  • strategic program across Product and C&A
  • Ensure alignment of all key governance documents and identity key
  • controls and reporting requirements within the documents
  • Maintain open lines of communication with all stakeholders and
  • collaborate cross functionally to ensure alignment
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all documents
  • Coordinating completion of existing document reviews, updating and
  • gaining approval within agreed timelines
  • Develop high-quality, visually appealing content which is easy to use and embed into teams

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years insurance experience preferred (Financial Services/Insurance)
  • Well-developed and demonstrated understanding of the legislative, regulatory
  • and compliance obligations to operate in the FSR environment
  • Strong writing skills, with excellent eye for detail
  • Exceptional customer service insight and delivery
  • Strong ability to negotiate & influence in challenging circumstances with tight
  • timeframes
  • High levels of autonomy
  • Experience in creating and using writing style guides
  • Computer literate
  • Strong planning and organisational ability
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
