Position Overview

RGA Australia is looking for a motivated Events, Marketing & Communications Manager to join our team on a permanent and full-time basis.


This role is responsible for supporting and accelerating business development and brand awareness through driving the planning and execution of client events; providing ownership, development, and implementation of the local communications strategy; and implementing marketing plans, strategies and promotional activities.


Whilst the role will be based out of our Sydney office, at RGA Australia we focus on results and outputs, supporting flexible and hybrid working arrangements.

Regular travel is required for this position throughout Australia (east coast) and New Zealand.

Responsibilities

The Events, Marketing and Communications Manager at RGA will primarily be responsible for all aspects of event management in relation to client functions, seminars, and conferences.

This includes but is not limited to developing event proposals, managing relationships with vendors, maintaining budgets and timelines, coordinating event calendars, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop event content, design, and experiential elements.


In addition, this role will produce and coordinate a range of communication activities for RGA in Australia and develop and deliver promotional materials for various communication platforms, and implement marketing plans and strategies and ensure the effectiveness of promotion and advertising programs.


Requirements Qualifications & Experience**:

  • Demonstrated related experience within a Marketing, Events and Communications
  • Insurance industry experience (preferred)
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing or related discipline (preferred)

Skills & Competencies:

  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office and SharePoint
  • Familiar with the Adobe creative suite, including inDesign and Photoshop (desired)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships and influence across various teams and functions, including senior management and clients
  • Innovative, proactive and improvement oriented
  • Highly organized, deliveryorientated with the ability to prioritise and proactively manage stakeholder expectations
  • Is a curious, creative and innovative thinker
  • Ability to remain professional, tactful and flexible under pressure
  • Plans, prioritises, and organises work effectively to produce measurable results, with strong project management skills
  • Takes a problemsolving approach when faced with challenging situations and is able to shift priorities when required
  • Establishes realistic budget plans and demonstrates fiscal accountability
