The Role

We are looking for innovative engineers ready to transform the future of carbon removal technology at Heirloom. As a Process Control Engineer, you will play a key role in developing our cutting-edge direct air capture technology. Your task is to design control systems and specify process instrumentation for our upcoming commercial plants to pave the way for a greener, more sustainable future.

Bring your expertise in chemical processing, gained from industries like oil & gas or green energy, to create the control architecture and instrumentation for our unique carbon capture and sequestration system. Dive into PLCs, control logic, and process instrumentation to craft the control system for a revolutionary direct air capture facility.

Collaborate with diverse teams and vendors to push the boundaries of controls and instrumentation, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in every stage of the carbon removal and storage process.

What you will bring

Your 5+ years of experience in chemical processing or chemical engineering, focusing on design specifications and control system strategies, are vital. Your expertise in programming PLCs and familiarity with languages like Ladder Diagram (LD), Sequential Function Charts (SFC), and others will be valuable additions to our team.

Experience in power distribution, plant automation, and meticulous attention to detail in HMI interface development will further prepare you for success in this dynamic role. The compensation for this position is expected to range between $140,000 and $175,000, depending on experience.
