Who are you?

UNSW College is looking for a passionate and innovative Senior Education Professional (Educator/Teacher). This role involves responsibility for the teaching, convening, coordination and delivery of UNSW College Foundation Studies courses, including management and economics, and teaching Diploma courses, including Business Decision Making, Collaboration and Innovation in Business and Global Business Environments.

What will you do?

A Senior Education Professional is responsible for a range of activities including, but not limited to convening and overseeing a non-award program of courses, developing and maintaining curricula, digital teaching assets and assessments, and recruiting, supervising and mentoring teaching teams. They are expected to continuously improve their knowledge and skills by engaging in scholarship and keeping current with advances in their relevant discipline and contemporary learning and teaching practices. They will liaise with external stakeholders, including UNSW Quality and Assurance Review Consultants (QARC's) to ensure curriculum and assessment quality. Teaching responsibility may be in the form of lectures, tutorials, workshops, and consultations.

Key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):


• Effectively convene higher education courses such as non-award Foundation Studies programs including the scheduling, induction, supervision, and assist in the recruitment of teaching staff, and teaching Diploma courses.


• Employ a mix of high impact teaching strategies in lectures, tutorials, and workshops in Foundation Studies and Diploma programs, that promote student engagement and comprehension.


• Develop, oversee, and maintain a range of appropriate formative and summative assessment tools such as assignments, reflective exercises, project work, quizzes, interviews, and high-stakes exams, which explicitly address Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) and Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs).


• Assist in leading the development, review, improvement, and maintenance of curricula including digital learning assets, ensuring they incorporate innovations in teaching and learning, changes in current disciplines practices, industry trends, and student, expert and QARC feedback.

The successful applicant will have (but not limited to):


• Relevant tertiary qualification in Management or Economics and a minimum of 3 years' experience teaching tertiary level courses in Management.


• Evidence of recent involvement in scholarship activities which advance knowledge and professional practice in a relevant discipline or teaching practice


• Experience developing and maintaining a variety of curricula and assessment,


• Experience in, and commitment to technology-enabled teaching and learning,
