School Technical Officer - Ripley Valley State School Education (Organisation site ) Metropolitan South Region, Early Childhood and State Schools Division Ripley Valley State School is seeking a skilled School Technical Officer to join our team In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in managing the school's information and communication technology (ICT) network services.

About the School:

Ripley Valley State School is based in the Providence Estate at South Ripley with approximately 750 students from Prep to Year 6.

The school will cater to a diverse community made up of young and older families from varying backgrounds and cultures.

Ripley Valley State School has three strong and vibrant histories; Indigenous, Farming and Mining.
Each of these has been represented in the school uniform and logo.
The colour of the brush cherry represents the Indigenous culture, green our farming and black our mining histories.

The blue represents the sky which has been common across all histories, blending into navy representing our links with Ripley Valley State Secondary College.

Our logo shows how an individual's actions can have a large impact creating a ripple effect.

The ripple effect can be seen across the front and back of the school uniform and symbolises the school's hopes to have a strong and positive impact on the future of our students.


Role:

Responsibilities include: Provide advice and assistance on maximising the potential of ICT operations within the school/college, including acquisition, installation, operation, maintenance, repair and replacement.

Support the school community with technical advice, instruction and assistance with electronic equipment, in accordance with departmental, school and manufacturer's policy, guidelines and network standards.

Assist in the provision of in service training to staff, on the effective application of ICT tools to successfully achieve and deliver educational services to students.

Provide effective and efficient support to staff and students to resolve problems associated with school computing facilities, whilst ensuring high end customer focus and communication.

Provide regular preventative maintenance, routine and emergency repairs to all ICT facilities and associated electronic equipment.

Maintain a range of technical services and accountable records related to the support of ICT, including infrastructure, used by the school/college.

This is a TO2 progression position as per the Role Description.

The successful applicant will be appointed to the TO2 classification with eligibility for progression to the TO3 once specific criteria have been met or demonstrated.
