Your Role and Responsibilities

The Sourcing Consulting will lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of category strategies for our clients.

They will go above and beyond strategic sourcing activities, which include understanding and factoring external variables, being able to have sense of internal landscape of our clients (requirements, organizational structure, priorities), be able to develop relationships to successfully, and develop category strategies that utilize various value levers to deliver improved cost, reduced risk, and more efficient programs to our clients.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops category strategies for the assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Identifies cost savings opportunities across the client's Fleet and Logistics spend categories
  • Acts as a trusted advisor and SME in the areas of sourcing and negotiating contracts within Fleet & Logistics
  • Achieves cost savings, risk mitigation, and process efficiencies through various value levers
  • Leads supplier selection process across multiple subsets of the category, with various scope and client stakeholder groups
  • Leads negotiations with current and potential suppliers as part of the contract renewal or vendor selection process
  • Collects and analyzes internal/external category data, metrics, and reports to track performance against targets
  • Able to analyze multiple data sets to identify opportunities and category insights
  • Participates in category councils and business reviews to support collaboration, knowledge sharing, opportunity identification, and overall relationship development
  • Innovates within the procurement space; looks at new ways to structure programs or categories, benefits from changes in supply market, or modifies tools/processes to add value
  • Provides support throughout the sourcing and contracting process when necessary, ensuring seamless handoff to our clients when appropriate
Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Law, or another applicable field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of procurement experience.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Prefer previous experience supporting the Corporate Professional, Facility, Marketing or Logistics Category.
  • Client Relationship Management: Ability to build rapport with clients and maintain professionalism in communications with all levels of client stakeholders. Ontime delivery of highquality analyses and presentations.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to utilize procurement and financial data to understand spending trends within a business, and to leverage that information to identify procurement insights that result in process efficiencies or cost savings for the client.
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy and attention to detail; ability to process information with high levels of accuracy.
  • Dealing with Disorder: Knowledge of tactics and ability to function effectively in the face of volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity.
  • Microsoft Office: Strong knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office suite. Ability to efficiently and accurately analyze procurement data using Microsoft Excel, and to build clientready presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Procurement Knowledge: Knowledge of Procurement methods, technologies and processes
