YOUR NEW ROLE:


We're looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Buyer to join our client as they continue on a path of exciting growth and transformation.

As the Senior Buyer, you'll be responsible for selecting, curating, and purchasing women's clothing and accessories for both retail and online markets.

You'll have creative control and direction across all product areas and manage the entire life cycle of products from concept to store delivery.


As a key member of our leadership team, you'll manage every aspect of the process, including pricing, margins, stock releases, markdowns, sales data, supplier management, and negotiation.

With established processes and systems in place, you are guaranteed of a smooth transition while the current Buyer moves internally.

You will also work closely with the Marketing team on product releases and photoshoots.

HERE'S WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

You are passionate about the fashion industry and instinctively know what the target customer wants. Seeing products fly out the door as a result of your work is a motivator.


As a creative and self-managing person, you are hands-on, regularly visiting stores and looking at real-time feedback from the front line.


You are committed to delivering growth, have an obsession for understanding business numbers and data along with the ability to forecast and lead in the latest trends to market.


The wish list consists of:

  • 5 years experience at the senior buyer level ideally in fashion
  • Strong commercial acumen and business judgement
  • Proven experience managing budgets and margin calculations
  • Excellent computer literacy skills with Excel and Shopify (or similar)
  • Exceptional communication and organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and negotiate with suppliers
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Fashion Design/Buying (or equivalent)
