What your day will involve
Your role is instrumental in promoting and advocating for residential wellbeing, with emphasis on pastoral care and academic matters. You will build a high performing Residential Life team, and support, develop and nurture a culture within the community.

You will lead in the delivery of exceptional service to all stakeholder groups, and play an active role in the emergency response team during shift times and after-hours.


What we need from you
You are passionate about delivering a fun and memorable experience for our residents. You will be enthusiastic and creative in your event planning - always considering the student experience.

It is important that you demonstrate a solid understanding of the complexities of university life, and operational aspects of residential living to align with the university's student experience framework.

You will be more than just a friendly presence, you are a crucial link in creating a supportive culture and inspiring community.


More about you:

  • You will have previous experience in a similar role, with a focus on leadership, wellbeing, and mental health in a university/youth environment
  • Demonstrated experience in event management, including budgets, planning and implementation
  • You can manage a range of situations that may arise
  • Possess strong leadership experience and proven ability in leading, inspiring, and mentoring teams
  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills

Our mandatory requirements include:

  • National Police Check (completed within last 3 months)
  • Working with Children's Check
  • Unrestricted work rights in Australia and New Zealand
