About the Role The Director of Clinical Operations (DCO) is responsible for improving the health of Alpine communities by providing leadership and management in the planning, delivery, integration and evaluation of health services necessary to meet health needs for the site and surrounding communities.
As the DCO, the position is responsible for the implementation of high-quality and safe clinical systems, monitoring and evaluating of clinical practice and service delivery standards.
The DCO is responsible for the site management of the Mount Beauty campus including the quality and efficiency of services and the management of associated resources allocated by Alpine Health.
Responsibilities The Director of Clinical Operations Mount Beauty maintains the following primary responsibilities: Clinical Governance and Performance Leadership of Alpine Health's clinical governance obligations across Acute, Residential Aged Care, Day Procedure and Urgent Care services, and the establishment of clinical performance reflective of best practice.
Health Service Management Oversight of health service provision for the Mount Beauty site.Implementation and management of clinical policy and procedural frameworks.
Planning and maintaining hospital and departmental budgets ensuring budgetary requirements are met.
Supporting growth, business development and responding to the business needs identified by the Executive team.
Workforce Management of relationships within and external to the organisation, to establish workforce and individual capacity that fosters high-level performance, standards compliance, and organisational improvement.
Ensuring methodical workforce planning and a commitment to the professional development of the clinical workforce.Managing Human Resources to ensure future workforce requirements are known and strategies are identified and implemented.
Organisational Culture Establishment and management of mechanisms that engender a team-based, productive and healthy work environment.
Measuring workplace culture and implementing actions supporting the findings to maintain a positive workplace culture.
Qualifications Essential Registered Nurse with a current Registration Certificate from AHPRA.
Appropriate post-graduate qualifications in clinical nursing, health administration or similar.
Desirable Demonstrated leadership within health-based environment.
Established capacity for working within rural health settings.
Proven business and operational management skills and experience, at senior level within the clinical services sector.
Strong self-management and workload prioritisation.
Ability to develop and pursue goals in keeping with overall organisational objectives.
Ability to participate in leadership and skill development in the provision of health promotion strategy development.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including communication, negotiation and conflict resolution, delegation and time management.
Ability to work cooperatively with other service providers and agencies within the

We have Victoria's major snow and ski resorts including Falls Creek, Mount Buffalo and Mount Hotham on our doorstep.Outside of the snow season, these mountains provide a good location for bushwalking, horseriding, cycling, scenic driving and fishing.
