About the Role

This role is responsible for working closely with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to develop and execute effective leadership across the emergency response team.

The National Restorations Operations Manager role is a national role based out of the Brisbane office.

Responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:

  • Establish a recurring meeting schedule with the assessing and repair teams to ensure collaboration.
  • Managing all aspects and functions within the emergency response team, from restorations, reporting, repairs, through to both the inhours and afterhours make safe team.
  • Lead and direct work teams to achieve desired outcomes, whilst also building a result driven, customer focused and accountable culture across the designated silos.
  • Develop onboarding and training plans for new starters within the team.
  • Running daily, weekly, and monthly reports on all performance KPI's and distributing to staff for action/response.
  • Ensuring cost effective solutions across all departments
  • Liaise with supply chain to ensure appropriate contractor coverage by trade service, including afterhours make safe coverage.
  • Monitor GP and compare estimate vs invoice.
  • Ensure all safety guidelines are adhered to as per all HSEQ requirements.
  • Setting and achieving targets, monthly, quarterly, annually, ensuring activities are aligned to planned development forecasts and budgets.
  • Identifying potential improvements across the emergency response team
  • Oversight of complaints, ensuring they are appropriately managed to successful outcomes.
  • Review and action audits throughout the Makesafe timeline.
  • Support Insurance operational requirements, including goals and objectives.
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders (both internal and external)

About You

  • A broad knowledge of personal insurance and/or domestic building construction and repairs would be an advantage
  • Experience within the insurance/ construction environment
  • Good command of the restoration industry technicalities and language
  • Good command of the insurance emergency make safe procedure (24/7 response)
  • Understanding and appreciation of the financial implications of decisions and their impact to the business
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and facilitation skills, with a proven track record of building strong relationships and influencing business direction with key stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail while managing high volume
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks at once in a busy and diverse environment
  • Trade and/or technical background would be an advantage
