About the National Fleet Manager, Network Role:
Reporting to the General Manager - Fleet Operations, the National Fleet Manager - Network will be responsible for the operational delivery of TGE's fleet strategy across the whole TGE Network through your team of fleet managers nationally, fostering collaboration and best practice with the fleet owners.
You will deliver operational fleet services for one of Australia's largest road fleets, to the highest compliance standards, maximising economic return through centralised management, an efficient and well utilised fleet as well as through a wholistic view of total cost of ownership.
With experience, strong product and regulatory knowledge you will be a key member of the Fleet Operations senior leadership team, providing leadership, guidance and support to the business on a range of fleet matters.
What you'll do (duties/responsibilities including/not limited to):
- Fleet Strategy & Performance: Significantly contribute to the development and execution of TGE's national fleet strategy, ensuring alignment with the organisation's overall goals.
- Operational Excellence: Drive operational efficiency and effectiveness across the entire national fleet, maximising utilisation and economic return as well as ensuring our business and customers are supported through fleet uptime and availability.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure the national fleet adheres to all relevant safety, regulatory, and environmental standards, mitigating risks and maintaining compliance.
- Cost Optimisation: Implement a holistic approach to Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) across the national fleet, constantly seeking ways to minimise expenditures and maximising value for TGE and its operators.
- National Team Leadership: Provide strategic direction and guidance to a team of regional Fleet Managers, fostering collaboration and best practices.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Large national road fleet management experience is essential
- Ability to analyse, interpret data, resulting in meaningful insights
- Strong understanding of Australian Heavy vehicle legislation
- HSE leadership experience
- Proven capability in strategy development, and planning
- Proven capability in transformational projects, delivering value
- Tertiary qualifications in commercial or logistics (preferred, not essential)
- Strong category knowledge across Prime movers, Rigid Trucks, Trailers
