About the Role
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a strategic leader to take on a pivotal role in our organisation.
We are seeking a talented individual to lead our technology team, responsible for all things Audio Visual and IT at our Centre.
As the Head of Technology, reporting directly to the General Manager, you will oversee and direct all technical operations, ensuring that the strategic direction of the Audio Visual and IT departments aligns with our organisational goals.
Responsibilities
- Inspire & lead teams: Lead and motivate our Technology AV Sales, Production, AV Operations, Technical, and IT teams to achieve their best performance.
- Budget development & management: Develop and maintain operational budgets for revenue and sales growth while ensuring costeffectiveness.
- Sales & project management: Participate in sales calls and project management to meet client needs and deliver highquality services.
- Technical expertise & direction: Provide technical expertise and direction in design, development, and systems integration to align with organizational strategies.
- Quick decisionmaking & problemsolving: Make quick decisions and solve technical problems in AV and ICT for uninterrupted service delivery.
- Stakeholder engagement: Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and provide optimal services.
- Opportunity optimization: Optimize client services, streamline processes, and enhance operational efficiency.
About You
- Require approximately 10 years of professional industry experience
- Proven leadership skills, including managing teams and being a natural influencer
- Knowledge and understanding of audio visual, lighting, staging, and rigging systems and current trends in technical operations
- Understanding of IT service requirements in either a corporate or service delivery setting
- Ability to design and operate technical equipment such as audio, lighting, and vision systems
- Demonstrated experience in risk management and providing solutions
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrable sales background with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets
- Experience with sales budgeting and forecasting
- Prior experience as a Director of Technology, Program Manager, ICT Executive, or AV Manager would be highly valued
- Passion for the industry and a keen interest in emerging technologies
