IPA is offering a tempting chance for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our client's dynamic workplace. You'll start as an IPA employee, but with potential for a permanent role within the company in the future.

This job comes with a great pay rate, full-time hours from Monday to Friday, and will see you working independently while being supported by the HR Manager based in Brisbane.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough workplace investigations.
  • Manage Fair Work conciliation processes.
  • Prepare necessary documentation and represent the organization during conciliation.
  • Negotiate fair settlements and agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industrial awards.
  • Provide advice on award interpretations and HR policies.
  • Partner with business leaders to understand and meet HR needs.
  • Offer coaching and support on HR matters.
  • Support the business through changes and transitions.
  • Develop change management plans and communication strategies.
  • Resolve employee relations issues and oversee recruitment processes.
  • Manage succession planning and retention strategies.
  • Review and update HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide training on HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and generate key HR metrics reports.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related field.
  • Experience: Proven HR Business Partner experience, especially in complex environments.
  • Resilience: Ability to handle pressure and adapt to changes.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build relationships across all levels.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of employment law and HR practices.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualifications and Experience: Qualifications in HR or relevant professional experience.
  • HR Expertise: Experience in HR Manager roles.
  • Employee Relations knowledge: Thorough understanding of relevant legislation and best practices.
  • Work Health and Safety Knowledge: Understanding of work health and safety principles.
  • Risk Management Understanding: Familiarity with risk management principles.
  • Organisational Skills: Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills for interaction with employees and stakeholders.
  • Initiative and Decision Making: Proven ability to show initiative and make sound decisions.
