Speech Pathology Practise Educator

Kurri Kurri Hospital

About the role:


The position includes teaching students within the clinical caseload of caring for adult outpatients of Lower Hunter Sector (LHS) Speech Pathology at the Cessnock or Kurri Kurri Hospital sites, as well as inpatients within the Kurri Kurri Rehabilitation Unit.

VFSS, or Videofluroscopic Study of Swallowing, is accessible at the Maitland and Cessnock Hospitals.

Where you'll be working:

  • This is an opportunity to work for the largest local health district in NSW which services a population of more than 900,000 across the Hunter, New England and Lower Mid North Coast areas.

About you:

  • Strong adult Speech Pathology clinical experience in inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Interest and experience in provision of supervision to undergraduate students or less experienced staff.
  • Strong time management, problem solving skills and flexibility to adapt to a busy caseload and student learning and support needs.
