Details regarding the role

You are an experienced and highly capable leader who is focused on significantly improving our chances of a successful transformation living our purpose creating Connections that Matter.

The role will single-mindedly drive the agency nationally forward in areas of strategic thinking and product development working with the Hearts agency team and the range of OMG specialist business units.

This will help drive our purpose across existing clients, prospect clients, partners as well as industry bodies and broader communities.

Working in partnership and acting as an extension to the CEO, this role is designed to connect the offering across AU (and extend the offering into other connected markets such as New Zealand).

Working with the Senior Leadership Team, you will ensure all activity is aligned to key business and client metrics, which will be clearly defined at the outset.

They should be fully integrated into the senior leadership plan (not side-lined to a separate transformation unit).
Key Responsibilities

  • Be the face of our transformation and growth externally in AU, living our purpose creating Connections that Matter across strategy, product and process.
  • Set the tone and the enthusiasm in the industry about Hearts, challenging current thinking and practices to grow our overall business profile.
  • Lead key initiatives such as thought leadership and awards programme to ensure we are continually front of mind for prospect clients and industry influencers.
  • Engaging with key third parties in the industry you will build profile and positivity around our purpose.
  • You will interact, challenge and adapt thinking from other global offices in our Agency network to localise thinking yet leverage global scale.
  • Define further what purpose means to the industry and new business prospects, how can we deliver better brands in communications/media and serve the needs of their customers more to generate growth for everyone.
  • Hold strong, professional and authentic relationships with all stakeholders at the most senior levels and ensure they understand your leadership role in any transition.
  • Demonstrate exceptional problemsolving skills at times navigating complex challenges that involve large numbers of initiatives and stakeholders.
  • Oversee the transformation of our product plus anticipate changes and obstacles along the way. Integrating into OMG initiatives including and not exclusive to automation, data and technology (including the development and usage of Omni).
  • See the whole picture and consider people, data, and infrastructure in a crossfunctional way, therefore ensuring a seamless transformation across the agency using capabilities across OMG. Working closely with the CEO, Chief Operating Officer, People, Technology, Client Service and Investment Leaders from Hearts and the broader network.

Experience required:

  • 15+ years of strong media/communications strategy, technology & data related experience
  • Excellent understanding of media fundamentals with strategic planning capabilities
  • Exceptional client facing communication & presentation skills
  • Strong people leadership experience and teamfirst mentality
  • Strong negotiation & consulting skills
  • Strong commercial understanding to evaluate business potential
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding of clients' business and provide leadership on current and future issues
  • Ability to drive business revenue
