Newly created opportunity for a Property Sustainability Manager to join our property team, where you will play a leading role in advancing Toll's commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable business practices.


Reporting directly to Global Head of Property, you will take ownership of Toll's Property Sustainability Roadmap and be responsible for researching, developing and implementing built environment focused sustainability initiatives and programs across our global property footprint.


This position will be an integral part of delivering the wider Toll Sustainability Strategy and will work in close collaboration with the Group Sustainability and Fleet Sustainability Managers.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the design and evolution of Toll's Sustainability Roadmap ensuring it aligns with the Toll Group Sustainability Strategy and global ESD/ESG practices.
  • Managing the Global Property team's approach to Sustainability to ensure ESD/ESG practices are embedded in all activities, delivering initiatives in line with the Roadmap to ensure Toll reaches its operational carbon neutral aspirations.
  • Ensure strong working relationships that facilitates the team's effectiveness to deliver against sustainability objectives, developing a reputation as the centre of excellence for built environment sustainability services within the organisation and with external stakeholders.
  • Ensure that sustainability reporting, systems and practices are efficient and effective.
  • Provide sustainability expertise and intelligence as it applies to the built environment across the Globe to assist the business with maximising the value of its' sustainability strategy.

To ensure your success you will possess:

  • Broad understanding of APAC property markets
  • ideally with a minimum of 8-10 years in the property industry across commercial and industrial
  • Knowledge of all ESD/ESG trends and sustainable development initiatives
  • ideally focused on property assets (preferably industrial)
  • Relevant ESD/ESG track record and measurable success in developing/delivering ESD/ESG strategies and initiatives
  • Track record of developing and implementing sustainability initiatives with trackable and measurable outcomes
  • Commercial nous, a straightforward pragmatic approach and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Report writing skills
  • Willingness to travel as and when needed
  • Tertiary qualification in Sustainability or Real Estate/ Property Management discipline (or other relevant discipline)
