The AOD Therapeutic Day Rehab Practitioner is responsible for the facilitation of the Therapeutic Day Rehabilitation (TDR) program utilising a combination of strategies including group work, one to one intervention and family support for individuals experiencing Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) related problems.

This position includes group work, one to one intervention and family support for individuals experiencing AOD related problems.

The AOD Therapeutic Day Rehab Practitioner sits within The Salvation Army (NVAODS), situated in Bendigo.

Other AOD services offered include, AOD Assessment & Counselling, Care and Recovery Coordination (CRC), Overdose Prevention Program (ODP), Family Reunification Program (FRP) and a residential rehabilitation.

This is a permanent part time position, 22.8 hours per week based in Bendigo. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award Level 5.

What you can bring

  • Bachelor of Human Services, Master of Social Work
  • Diploma in Health or Community Services.
  • AOD skill set or willing to obtain within 12 months
  • Relevant experience in a social service environment
  • A current VIC Drivers Licence
  • Valid VIC Employee Working with Children Check
  • Ability to provide proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia
