About the role:

My client is looking for an experienced Project Manager to focus on managing the implementation of a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project seamlessly integrated with an existing solar farm.

Responsibility:

  • Reporting into the National Manager/Lead
  • Plan, supervise, and coordinate work activities with Construction Managers and subcontractors
  • Ensure customer needs are met with high focus and autonomy
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project success
  • Adapt to dynamic environments and implement cost reduction initiatives
  • Coordinate pre-construction activities and contract compliance
  • Arrange site logistics and oversee contractor performance
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineers, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders, to effectively execute project tasks and deliverables.
  • Implement quality control programs and manage audits
  • Develop project schedules and coordinate installations
  • Maintain project records and provide feedback to the Operations Team
  • Close out projects and transition to the Operations and Maintenance Team
  • Perform other duties as assigned

    About you:

    • Experience working on similar projects in a similar role: ideally 5+ years of commercial/utility construction experience.
    • Experience working on SOLAR and BESS projects.
    • Strong understanding of battery storage systems and related technologies
    • Bachelor's degree in relevant field; PMP certification preferred
    • EPC, PPA, Interconnection, and site lease contract experience a plus
    • Expertise in construction regulations, standards, and building products
    • Proficiency in construction management software
    • Prior large-scale project management experience
    • Electrical systems and wiring knowledge desired
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships at all levels
