My client is a privately-owned pharmaceutical business that specialises in the providing affordable, generic and over-the-counter medications with an established distribution network. This is a fast-paced organisation, with ambitious growth targets and a view to going public, and is looking for a General Counsel to provide end-to-end legal support to strategic initiatives.
Job Description
Responsibilities
Commercial contract negotiations for all life-cycle stages, providing timely and pragmatic solutions and executing decisions quickly.Collaborating with other business leaders to understand strategic initiatives, providing legal insight, anticipating potential challenges and developing work-arounds that enable commercial growth.Manage a team of lawyers and support their development to ensure the team operates at optimal efficiency and is able to handle queries effectively.Understand the regulatory environment and work with internal and external stakeholders, as required, to ensure compliance and regulatory disclosures are submitted on time.The Successful Applicant
Candidate Requirements
Extensive experience as a Senior Legal Counsel or GC ideally in a Pharma, FMCG or Food & Beverage environment - applicants able to demonstrate experience within hyper-growth environments are preferred.Comfortable in a fast-paced, pressured environment and willing to actively engage with any relevant topics to ensure the commercial success of the company.Demonstrable management experience and able to influence and drive times to optimise performance.Excellent stakeholder management and engagement skills - in this role, you are expected to proactively engage with non-legal functions to deliver solutions and support strategy development.
