About the Role:

The role is responsible for effective planning, directing and coordinating of the production shift activities, managing the team in the production line. The position has strong requirements and guarantees the service level for internal clients, in terms of quality, efficiency and results orientated production shift activities for Ferrero Australia.

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Schedule personnel and machinery over three shifts to meet production and packaging requirements, taking into consideration equity and people aspects

  • Supervise, motivate, coach and train employees in order to ensure productivity, efficiency, good morale and employee career development

  • Monitor quality and hygiene, working with Quality Assurance on outstanding matters and notifying Management where required to ensure Ferrero standards are met

  • Check stock levels and initiate purchase requisitions for packaging and raw materials, conduct monthly stock take

  • Regularly inspect the machines, providing advice to employees and liaise with Maintenance team regarding preventative measures and intervention, in order to optimize the efficiency of the production and packaging machinery

  • Report quality matters, and resolve them, identifying the root cause. Participate in the quality program based on ISO 9001

  • Ensure food safety and participate in the food safety program based on ISO 22000

  • Ensure raw materials / packaging / processes / intermediate product and finished product is maintained in a “food safe” way and ensure the food safety standards are observed on the production line

  • Participate in the ISO 14000 Environmental Management System, based on the environmental policy, and contribute to meeting environmental objectives, targets and programs

  • Participate in the ISO 50001 Energy Management System, based on the energy policy, and ensure compliance with the applicable legal requirements and other requirements in line with Ferrero guidelines

  • Contribute to the Workplace Health and Safety program based on ISO 45001 and hold responsibility for health, safety and welfare at work of all the employees

  • Manage production times and quantities record to ensure efficiency targets, generate reports to Production Manager

  • Contribute to, recommend and implement continuous process improvements in order to improve efficiency, quality, safety in line with Company guidelines

  • Hold accountability for team matters (training, pay, roaster, worked hours, as well as disciplinary controls and reporting)

 

Who we are looking for:

 

  • University degree a relevant field

  • 5+ years of relevant previous experience in FMCG food manufacturing industry

  • Solid knowledge of the production management, production planning techniques, people management

  • Strong planning, control and reporting skillset

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, relationship building

  • High result orientation and problem solving skills, lateral thinking

  • Ability to work effectively across teams, with good adaptability and flexibility
