Randstad, in collaboration with the NSW Electoral Commission, is seeking a proficient Nominations Team Supervisor to join our team for the Local Government Elections 2024.

About the role:

As the Nominations Team Supervisor, you will oversee processing teams, manage workflows, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Your responsibilities will include training and supervising processing teams, allocating tasks, and liaising with other managers and supervisors. Additionally, you will communicate with political participants regarding nominations and electoral material, review submissions, and escalate issues as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage workflows within processing teams, ensuring efficiency and adherence to deadlines for the Local Government Elections 2024.
  • Train and supervise processing teams, offering guidance and support as necessary to ensure high-quality work.
  • Allocate tasks to officers and monitor progress to ensure timely completion in accordance with electoral regulations.
  • Liaise with political participants via telephone and written communication to address deficiencies in nominations and electoral material.
  • Review nominations and electoral material in line with approved procedures and regulatory requirements for the Local Government Elections 2024.
  • Promptly escalate issues as needed to ensure timely resolution and compliance with electoral guidelines.

    Key Skills:

    • Proven experience in staff supervision, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members effectively.
    • Strong problem-solving skills coupled with a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
    • Proficiency in using computerized systems for data management and processing, ensuring efficient handling of information.
    • Ability to respond to email inquiries using templates and maintain professional communication standards.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word, with the ability to navigate software efficiently for day-to-day operations.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills, facilitating clear and concise information exchange.
    • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions diligently and adhere to strict guidelines set forth by the NSW Electoral Commission.

      Essential Criteria:

      • You must be an Australian citizen
      • To work at an election, you need to be on the electoral roll
      • Political Neutrality
